Hey Strikers! We’ve heard a lot of feedback from the community about Runes and have taken them all into consideration. We’re excited to announce that in the next major update runes will be getting an overhaul. There will be more ways for each player to customize Runes to their specific playstyle. Please be aware the UI is still being worked on and screenshots shown within this post are subject to change. Let’s dive into the details.
Max Rune level will remain unchanged at level 20. Instead of being Champion specific, Runes will now be consolidated into the four roles within the Realm: Damage, Flank, Frontline, and Support. All Runes already used and unused will be compensated to players in the overhaul; we will be going into more detail in a future blog.
Below level 20, each role has a specific set of rune bonuses.
Once players Role Runes have reached level 20, they will have the option to roll new stats for each Champion in that role. Players will also have the option of unlocking a second Champion Rune Page for multiple setups. Here are some examples of stats:
Every stat can be applied to each color Rune bonus category, but there will be optimal stats for each color. Stats applied to suboptimal colors will grant a reduced bonus. If you want to have all categories with Run Speed, you can!
There will be five tiers to each Rune stat bonus. Players will have the option of retaining their stats after each reroll if the new stats are worse or not desired. Below is an example of Damage, which is optimal within the red Rune category. If Damage is rolled in either green or blue, the suboptimal stats would be applied.
